Electric mobility
The EU-funded project Vocational Training for Optimal Learning and Growth in the European Battery Industry (VOLTAGE) was officially launched on 16 and 17 April with a kick-off meeting in Gothenburg. The aim of the project is to create a platform where knowledge, expertise and resources are brought together and to facilitate the seamless integration of vocational training in the battery sector. The state agency e-mobil BW is one of the German partners in the project.
The project Vocational Training for Optimal Learning and Growth in the European Battery Industry (VOLTAGE) has been launched as part of the EU Erasmus+ funding programme. VOLTAGE focuses on the development of innovative training approaches and the creation of collaborative platforms to impart future-oriented knowledge in the battery sector. At the invitation of consortium leader The Gothenburg Region (GR), the project partners from Sweden, Finland, Baden-Württemberg (Germany), Portugal and Turkey met from 16 - 17 April 2024 for the kick-off meeting in Gothenburg, Sweden. The aim of the first meeting was to get to know the training systems and the economic framework conditions, especially in the field of battery technology in the five participating countries and regions. The state agency e-mobil BW is supporting the project and is one of the German partners.
The establishment of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) plays a central role in the project. By fostering strong partnerships with industry, VOLTAGE creates a platform where knowledge, expertise and resources are brought together to facilitate the seamless integration of vocational training in the battery sector.
A key focus of the project is to build the capacity of vocational training providers and teachers. Through training and professional development initiatives, VOLTAGE equips teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively train the next generation of battery industry professionals. For Baden-Württemberg, TA Schwäbisch Gmünd in cooperation with e-mobil BW takes on this task. By sharing best practices, success stories and project results, the project aims to inform and motivate stakeholders, political decision-makers and the general public.
Following the successful kick-off meeting, the participating countries and regions are now starting with their specific work packages. They will regularly report on the progress and milestones of the four-year project via various communication channels.
